REGISTERED PROVISIONAL PSYCHOLOGIST
Mon & Tues. Sessions are available virtually & in-person
A child with big emotions. A teenager that has withdrawn from their world. A parent who feels like they have failed their child royally. All behaviour is communication and feelings do not define who you are.
As someone who has worked with children, adolescents, and parents and families in a variety of educational, social service and personal settings, I have an understanding of the journey that various families are on. I believe that my lived experience as a spouse, parent and former teacher enables me to bring a unique and supportive perspective to the therapeutic space. The success of your journey is not based on what I can do for you, but on being the person that you are needing in the current moment. A non judgemental listener who collaboratively walks alongside you to assist on your journey of new realizations, developing new skills and perspective.
Working with me
Drawing from therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behaviour (Play) Therapy (CBT/CBPT), AutPlay and Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), I bring a down to earth, matter of fact, humorous approach to the therapeutic space. Books, games, and art based activities are typical aspects of my sessions when I work with children and adolescents. These treatment methods have proven to be effective in supporting individuals struggling with emotional regulation, anxiety, and social navigation.
I’m glad you’re here, and I look forward to meeting you.

In a nutshell, I am all things family as outside of the therapy space, you can find me doing something with my spouse, kids or extended family and friends. When there is downtime, you can find me reading, card making or trying new recipes from social media.
Taking the first step can feel overwhelming, but you do not have to navigate it alone. Whether your family is facing a recent challenge or longstanding concerns, I look forward to partnering with you to help your child thrive.
