About KIN Integrated Child Health
KIN Integrated Child Health is an interdisciplinary child health clinic in southwest Edmonton where psychology, speech-language pathology, and occupational therapy work as one team. Families across Southwest Edmonton, Beaumont, and Leduc come to us for support with emotional, developmental, sensory, behavioural, and communication needs, without having to coordinate separate clinics on their own.
Why We Built KIN
Children’s development does not happen in silos. A child who struggles to focus in class may also be having trouble with language, sensory regulation, or anxiety. When clinicians work under one roof, they share what they are seeing, plan together, and keep families informed with consistent communication.

Collaboration
Healing doesn’t happen in isolation. Our clinicians work with each other, with parents and caregivers, and with the teachers and professionals in a child’s life, so everyone is moving in the same direction.
Play as a Pathway
For children and adolescents, play is therapy; play is communication and connection. Through play therapy, creative arts, sand tray, and story-based tools, we help children regulate emotions, express themselves, and process experiences in developmentally attuned ways.

No child is “too much” or “too complicated.” Every behaviour has meaning. We honour each child’s unique voice, identity, and lived experience, creating a safe and inclusive space where they can feel seen, heard, and valued.

Child Psychology
Our child and adolescent therapy supports emotional regulation, anxiety, depression, trauma, behavioural challenges, self-esteem, and family transitions. Parent coaching and family therapy help caregivers understand behaviour, respond with confidence, and build calmer home routines.
Speech-Language Pathology
Our speech-language pathology team supports children with language delays, articulation challenges, speech sound disorders, early language development needs, social communication differences, and neurodivergent communication profiles. The goal is clearer, more confident communication at home, at school, and with peers.
Occupational Therapy
Pediatric occupational therapy at KIN helps children build sensory regulation, emotional coping skills, fine-motor skills, handwriting, coordination, motor planning, attention, and executive functioning. We also support daily routines such as dressing, feeding, organizing, and transitioning between activities.

Assessments
Our psychoeducational and developmental assessments give families a clear picture of a child’s learning profile, cognitive strengths, and areas of need. We assess for ADHD, learning disabilities, giftedness, autism and developmental differences, and behavioural and emotional concerns, and every assessment ends with personalized recommendations for school and home.
