Hello, and welcome! I’m glad you’re here. Growing up can be an exciting time, but it can also be complicated. Youth and the teenage years bring many changes—emotionally, socially, academically, and personally—and navigating these changes can sometimes feel overwhelming. I believe young people don’t have to navigate these experiences alone. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive space where they can feel heard, understood, and empowered as they work through the challenges they are facing.

I have spent over 10 years supporting young people in educational settings as both a teacher and school counsellor, including three years of dedicated counselling experience with high school students. I work with youth ages 10–18+, supporting them as they navigate the emotional, social, and academic challenges that can come with growing up. I believe that every young person brings their own strengths, experiences, and perspective into the counselling space, and I strive to create an environment where they feel heard, understood, and accepted.

Working with me

My approach is warm, playful, curious, and collaborative. I draw from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), and Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), adapting my approach to the individual needs, age, personality, and goals of each young person. I believe that building a trusting therapeutic relationship comes first. I want clients to feel comfortable being themselves, asking questions, and being open about what they are experiencing.

I am transparent about the counselling process and work collaboratively with youth to identify goals and develop strategies that feel realistic and meaningful to them. When working with children and youth, I also recognize the important role parents and caregivers play. I aim to collaborate with families while respecting a young person's privacy and creating a space where they can speak openly. I believe that keeping caregivers appropriately informed and involved can help reinforce the strategies and skills developed in counselling within the child's everyday life.

I’m glad you’re here, and I look forward to meeting you.
